SeekWell Is Shutting Down: What It Means and What to Do

Last updated June 2, 2026 · By the SaturnSQL team

End of life: July 31, 2026

After this date scheduled queries stop running and ThoughtSpot deletes all remaining customer data within 30 days. Export your work before then.

SeekWell is shutting down. ThoughtSpot, which acquired SeekWell in 2021, has set an official end of life of July 31, 2026. If you use SeekWell to push SQL results into Google Sheets, Slack, or Excel on a schedule, you have a hard deadline to move those workflows somewhere else. This page covers what is happening, what to do before the cutoff, and the alternatives worth considering.

What is happening to SeekWell?

ThoughtSpot acquired SeekWell in 2021 and has decided to sunset the standalone product. SeekWell will run normally until July 31, 2026, then be retired. After that date you can no longer access the product, scheduled queries and automated alerts stop, and ThoughtSpot deletes all remaining customer data within 30 days. ThoughtSpot recommends moving to ThoughtSpot Sync, though that is an enterprise product rather than a like-for-like self-serve replacement.

Key dates and what changes

  • Now until July 31, 2026: SeekWell runs normally. Export your queries and document your schedules while everything is still live.
  • July 31, 2026: SeekWell reaches end of life. Scheduled queries stop running, alerts cease, and the product becomes inaccessible.
  • Within 30 days after EOL: ThoughtSpot deletes all remaining SeekWell customer data.

What to do before the deadline

Move sooner rather than later, scheduled syncs silently stop the moment the product goes offline. Work through this checklist:

  1. Copy out every SQL query you want to keep. SeekWell stores your SQL, so copy each query into a .sql file or your new tool before access ends.
  2. Document each schedule and destination. Note what runs when, and where results go (which Google Sheet, Slack channel, or Salesforce object), so you can rebuild it.
  3. Record your database connections. Save the host, port, database name, and username for each connection (credentials do not transfer between tools).
  4. Pick a replacement and rebuild your syncs. Choose an alternative and recreate your scheduled queries there. See the options below.

Your options after SeekWell

The best replacement depends on which SeekWell workflow mattered most. The full breakdown is in our SeekWell alternatives comparison, but in short:

  • SaturnSQL — the closest self-serve replacement for SQL-to-Google-Sheets on a schedule: browser-based editor, shared query library, scheduled queries, and Google Sheets export. Free tier, paid plans from €19/month per user. Supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Redshift, and DynamoDB (not yet BigQuery or Snowflake).
  • ThoughtSpot Sync — the official migration path, with Slack, Salesforce, Teams, and HubSpot destinations, but enterprise-priced.
  • Query Streams — the most spreadsheet-native option if you only need fresh SQL data in Excel or Sheets.
